THOBE HOB
-
You should take all of your measurements for your thobe listing while the thobe is laying flat.
⬅Please refer to the diagram on the left for placement of your measuring tape.
-
The ‘thobe listing fee’ is a required one-time, non-refundable fee (yes, one-time, valid until your listing is sold or rermoved!) that helps maintain this platform and the work that goes into it. Wandering Camel Goods does not ask for any percentage of your thobe sale.
*Your listing will not be posted until the listing fee has been paid.
-
Wandering Camel Goods is only accepting Palestinian thobes on Thobe Hob at the moment. We hope to expand to including listings of other cultural heritage items in the future.
If you would like to see that happen, please consider subscribing as a Camel Club Member.

If you are a Palestinian ally you are more than welcome to inquire about any of the machine embroidered thobes available.
All thobes that are handmade, hand-stitched and/or historical are only eligible to be purchased by Palestinian buyers.
If you are a non-Palestinian looking to collect Palestinian cultural heritage items, this is not the space for you. Please reconsider your choice in doing so. Understand that a lot of the handmade/hand-stitched and historic Palestinian items were either sold out of necessity or stolen from their original owner/creator. The Palestinian people are currently resisting erasure and after enduring almost 80 years of violent settler colonialism including a still-active genocide, ethically speaking, Palestinian cultural heritage items belong with Palestinians and should be returned to a Palestinian home.
Learning about the beauty of Palestinian culture and admiring our ancestral craft is welcomed and encouraged. Orientalism, grifting or cosplaying is not.
-
If you are not Palestinian and you are in possession of a handmade/hand-stitched or historical thobe, you may post a listing for sale on Thobe Hob.
Please understand- all thobes that are handmade, hand-stitched and/or historical are only eligible to be purchased by Palestinian buyers.
Please take into consideration that a lot of handmade/hand-stitched and historic Palestinian items were either sold out of necessity or stolen from their original owner/creator, when pricing your listing.
Ultimately, Palestinian cultural heritage items belong with Palestinians and should be returned to a Palestinian home.

YES! Thobe Hob was built for the WHOLE community of Palestinian Thobe Lovers!
Ideally it would be so amazing if people from countries around the world listed their thobes so that you could arrange local shipping between buyer/seller vs international shipping (which we all know is SO expensive) but you are always welcome to ship internationally as well as long as it is agreed upon by buyer and seller.
-
If you are a PALESTINIAN small business owner that sells thobes, you are more than welcome to double list them on this platform in addition to your own website or social media.
If you are non-Palestinian and are selling a Palestinian thobe(s) as part of your business… you should really delete those listings and list them here so that they may find a new Palestinian home.
-
Typically the price listed is for the thobe itself, as shipping cannot be accurately calculated until the exchange of shipping details between buyer and seller. Please contact the seller directly to inquire about shipping.
-
All buyers who are interested in purchasing a handmade/hand-stitched/historic thobe should explicitly tell buyers that they are Palestinian. If they do not and you are unsure, please make sure to be direct and ask them to clarify.
Thobe Hob runs on the honor system.
